The concept for this project for a busy professional is inspired by tailored menswear colors — a modern, edited environment that is beautiful and full of sex appeal. The color palette starts with the paint color called Coachman’s Cape and a wash is applied to all surfaces, doors, walls, trim work, to give a seamless feel.  The space is a study in multi-use spaces. The large table with smoked glass top is both a dining table and a work desk most days. The custom design daybed / sofa by Michael Schoeller & Joanna Darling is designed as a low lounge sofa alternative during the day, and queen size bed at night.  Art, unusual objects, tailored accessories and the home owner's many books, all add to the concept of having everything at your fingertips, and at the same time, to still not feel cramped.
